1. Maximum Working Hours
8 hours/day

2. Minimum Wage
Depends on the sector, e.g. women workers at manufacturing factory get about US$40/month; women workers at tea estate get the lowest, about Rs. 1,000/month (US$10)

3. Night Work for Women Workers
- Women workers shoud not be forced to work in night shift
- Employer needs written approval from the Labour Commissioner for requesting them to work after 10pm
- If they need to work night shift, they should not work between 6am to 6pm and their pay should be one and a half or more of her normal remuneration
- A woman supervisor should be appointed to look after night shift women workers' welfare and the Employer should provide rest room, food & drinks, and transport facilities

4. Overtime Work for Women Workers

6. Maternity Protection:

     6.1. Length of leave
     12 weeks of maternity leave for 1st and 2nd child. For the rest is 6 weeks
